Troubleshooting with old version + multiUpdated a month ago

This model is no longer covered by warranty. The last unit sold was delivered in July 2023, which means that the warranty period has now expired.

If any of the problems listed below occur, we advise you not to submit a repair request via the service portal.

📩 Instead, please contact us directly. We will be happy to work with you to find a suitable solution.

Program does not start automatically when shoes are placed?

The Shoefresh uses infrared sensors to detect whether shoes are inside.

  • Infrared sensor does not detect shoes that allow a lot of light to pass through
  • Open shoes or shin guards are sometimes not recognised
  • Start manually by pressing and holding + and − simultaneously

Does this not work?

Your Shoefresh is probably not working properly because the holders are not securely attached. You can solve this as follows:

  • Unplug the device and remove both holders.
  • Plug the device back in: it will start running.
  • Replace the holders securely until you see two lines on the display.

✅ Done! The Shoefresh will stop after approximately 10 seconds.
Now place your shoes on it and the programme will start automatically.

Display works but fan does not start

This sometimes happens when muddy or sandy shoes are placed directly on the Shoefresh. We therefore recommend that you shake out your shoes thoroughly first. However, over time, some dirt may get into the appliance, causing the fan to jam.

Here's how to easily fix this:

  • Unplug the device and remove both shoe holders.
  • Plug the device back in. The programme should now start automatically (it may not do so immediately).
  • Tap the bottom of the device firmly on the side of the fan. This will loosen any stuck dirt. Repeat this step 1-3 times.
  • Replace the shoe holders and push them firmly until you see two lines on the display.

- Please note: if it still does not work, you probably did not tap hard enough. Try again with a little more force.

✅ Done! The Shoefresh will stop after approximately 10 seconds.

Now place your shoes on it and the program will start automatically.

The screen displays an error code (E1, E2 or E3)?

Unfortunately, this means that a technical problem has occurred:

  • E1 – The temperature sensor is defective.
  • E2 – The heating element is broken.
  • E3 – The fan is defective or blocked.

Do you have any questions? Please feel free to contact us; we will be happy to help you.

Ozone remains active without shoes (hissing sound)?

Can you hear a hissing sound coming from the ozone generator when there are no shoes on the Shoefresh? If so, the ozone programme is running incorrectly.

In this case, please contact us directly so that we can work together to find a suitable solution.

The Shoefresh is not responding at all

Follow the steps below if your Shoefresh is not responding at all (screen remains black and device does not start).

  • Is the plug properly inserted into the socket?
  • If there is a switch, is the socket turned on?
  • Does the Shoefresh work in another socket?

If none of this works, your Shoefresh is probably defective.
